Joseph Akuffo, also known by his artist name Lil Booke, is an up-and-coming musician hailing from Bowie, Maryland. Born and raised in Greenbelt, Maryland, Lil Booke has been making a name for himself through the release of his music on platforms such as YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music. In addition to consistently dropping new content on Instagram, Lil Booke has been working hard to build a fanbase and establish a unique presence in the music industry.
Lil Booke first began making music in November 2020 after investing in a studio in Rockville for around $800. It was through a song that he made with a friend that Lil Booke realized he had a talent for music and should take it seriously. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Polo G, Dababy, and Pop Smoke, Lil Booke seeks to bring a fresh energy and vibe to the industry with his music.
One of the most challenging things that Lil Booke has had to overcome in his life is balancing the decision of whether to finish college with the demands of his budding music career. Despite this, Lil Booke remains committed to progressing and growing as an artist every day and considers this to be his greatest achievement thus far.
Currently an independent artist, Lil Booke works with a producer in Miami to improve the quality of his music. He has a number of exciting projects in the works, including the release of 80 unreleased songs on New York beats, with plans to drop two new songs every month in 2023. One of the songs set to release in January will also come with a music video.
In addition to making music, Lil Booke’s days are filled with a variety of activities, including working at Amazon, playing basketball, going to the studio, working out, and watching movies. As an artist, Lil Booke wants his listeners to take away a new, unique flow and energy from his music and ultimately become a part of a big, diverse fanbase. With a diverse range of influences and a desire to experiment with different genres such as pop, rock, R&B, and more, Lil Booke aims to be the voice of music and bring a fresh perspective to the industry.
